The Center Toward Self-Reliance is hiring an Employment Services Specialist!
This position is for 3/4 time with an hourly starting wage of $17.50 - $19 (depending on experience). There is the potential for this position to become full-time as your caseload increases.
As the Employment Services Specialist, you will:
- provide individuals with disabilities person-centered career planning services (including coordinating vocational services with community agencies and providing direct services when a gap in those services exist).
- Career planning services include resume building, application assistance, job development / placement activities, continuing on-the-job-supports, career exploration activities, and career vocational assessments.
- Assess and identify the types of assistive technology and additional support that may be needed for successful placement and retention in the work force
- Interact regularly with business proprietors to create and expand upon a pool of potential employment opportunities available for consideration by consumers.
Qualifications:
- must have at-minimum an Associate's of Science/Arts from an accredited community college or the equivalent experience in the employment field. Preference will be given to candidates with a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
- hands-on experience in similar fields may be considered in lieu of education.
